Previous tips have already indicated that it is important to thoroughly check the entry of the Excel sheet because the data can be checked there practically.
The easiest check is to do a run check. The run control contains many checks on the input of a salary processing.
Nmbrs® always tries to make the reports as specific as possible. Try to clear all warnings and errors. Contact Nmbrs® if you are unable to resolve the notifications. Nothing is more annoying than long-term errors, because warnings and errors were ignored when starting Nmbrs®.
With an export it is possible to make a complete data dump in Excel of all data in the current environment. This has been briefly discussed in the article to import. In the black bar go to Settings / Salary settings / "Import / Export advanced" choose "Export" (choose the necessary tabs if necessary).
Of course, errors may have occurred when transferring data. Below are 3 ways to correct. Depending on the size and laboriousness, you can choose:
Manual: Adjust the data directly in the application.
Update: It is possible to update existing fields.
New import: In the event of many errors or missing data, it is best to redo the entire import. First remove all companies from "Company management", found under settings in the black bar.
Now that the administration is complete, test cases can be checked against the "old" administration. It is not wise to check all employment conditions for all employees. This is too much and double work. Below are examples of test cases where it is sensible to take an existing payslip and to check whether the tax and employment conditions apply. - As much as possible, choose standard Nmbrs® components and prefer not to use components for a completely different purpose than the name indicates.
The only "output" of the salary processing that can be adjusted is the journal entry. When preparing the organization, a ledger chart of accounts may have been compiled and needs to be checked. It is also possible that the journal entry is still created according to the Nmbrs® standard.
To create a journal entry, make sure that a run filled with test cases is created.

Shadow processing (optional)
The starting point for shading the current year is that you do the salary processing for a number of periods, both in the old system and in Nmbrs®. This way you can become familiar with Nmbrs®.
- Import the companies concerned as per the desired starting period of the current year.
- Process the last periods of the year for testing. Process the employees who have been imported to verify that the company is properly set up.
- Actually put the company in Nmbrs® into production as soon as one runs one-on-one in the current salary processing period. (when January connects, the rest is relatively simple).
Rebuild (optional) - Not needed in SE right?
If it is decided to start using Nmbrs® during the year and for the current year wage declarations have already been sent, then it is necessary to "rebuild". The reconstruction ensures that cumulative values correspond to previously calculated and submitted values of the payslip and payroll declaration. All payslips and all payroll returns are still calculated by Nmbrs®. It is therefore possible to submit corrections for the current year with Nmbrs® and it is possible to finally close the year.
