Removal of support for Internet Explorer 11
Nmbrs is announcing the removal of support for Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) effective March 1st 2020.
Why is Nmbrs removing this?
Nmbrs develops an innovative product where recent technology is required to offer the best user experience to our users. Since Nmbrs is a web-application that runs in the browser, we need to focus on modern browsers that support new web standards where we can deliver new innovative features. Therefore, continuing to support IE11 would have a negative impact on the quality of our product.
IE11 is not recommended by Microsoft
IE11 was launched in 2013 and was the default browser from Microsoft until the launch of Edge in 2015. Microsoft keeps supporting IE11 officially, by applying security patches for instance, but with no intention of improving its features.
Microsoft recommends using Microsoft Edge as your default browser and supports Internet Explorer 11 for backward compatibility. Next to that they tell that Internet Explorer is a compatibility solution. We’re not supporting new web standards for it and, while many sites work fine, developers by and large just aren’t testing for Internet Explorer these days.

What do you need to do?
Nmbrs recommends its users to use browsers that support the most recent web-standards, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge.
For companies using microsoft environments, we recommend to migrate from IE11 to Edge, since it’s Microsoft default and recommended browser.
When will this happen?
From 1st September 2019, some new features in Nmbrs that require modern web-standards, like the signing module, will not be supported by IE11.
After 1st March 2020 the Nmbrs product will not support IE11 anymore.
