In 2020 we delivered SOAP API version 3 and indicated that we would no longer maintain SOAP version 2.1. In May 2022, we announced that v2.1 would be discontinued at the end of 2022. This is to give developers of integrations based on this version of the API ample time to move to the latest version (v3) or to the REST API.
In recent months, we have contacted the majority of all developers known to us to inform them of this change.
Integrations built on the outdated version are no longer working starting from the weekly update on performed on February 15, 2023.
What does this mean for existing integrations?
For an end user of an integration, not much changes in principle as long as the transition has been made by the developer. The same authentication (email address and API token) and activated API calls can be used. It is important for an integration developer to make the transition from v2.1 to v3 in a timely manner to prevent the integration from ceasing to work at the end of 2022.
Adjustments to the way the integration works should be made by the developer. This may require adjustments to, for example, the API user template. If this is necessary, this information will always be shared by the developer!
