It is possible to create a manager login for, for instance for the manager of a department. The manager only sees the information of the employees under his management. The video below shows what a manager login looks like (for accountants), and the article continues with the procedure for creating a manager login.
Creating a manager at debtor level
Before a login can be created for a manager, a manager has to be created at debtor level under the 'Information' heading.
By clicking on 'Adding Manager', an employee can be selected from the list.
Manager login for accountant environments
When the manager has been created under 'Information', a login can be created for this manager. This is also done at debtor level. Go to the dashlet 'User Accounts' and press 'Manager login'.
Manager login for Business environments
As a company you create a manager login via the 'Settings' tab.
New login per manager
A login can be created for selected managers.
PLEASE NOTE: When a manager has been created but not selected under 'Information --> Managers' at debtor level, the manager will not be displayed at 'User accounts --> Manager login' at debtor level.
When a manager has an active login, but the tick is not checked at the manager as per the example below, the active login will as a result not be visible at the manager logins.
Fill in the correct details.
Select the manager for whom you are adding a login.
Fill in the email address and the personal details of the manager.
Then select one of the templates from the list. This will determine what this user can see. When you have created an own template for a manager login, it will also be shown in the list.
Adding new manager logins/deleting several managers at a time
Select several managers manually or using the previously set up filter (All, None, All with manager login, All without manager login). Thereafter, you can also enable/disable the checkbox per manager. Choose from:
- An own user template or a standard Nmbrs template
- Language (NL, EN, DE, or SE)
These choices are applied to all selected managers. Then click on 'Add user accounts' or 'Delete user accounts'.
If a manager does not have the selected mail address under 'Personal Details', a manager login will not be created.
Click on employees
Click on employees, if applicable, to ascertain to which employees the manager is linked.
Activating the account
Lastly, you activate the user by sending an email; this is done by clicking under 'Active'. The user will then receive a message that he can activate his account.
Deleting a manager login
In order to delete a manager login, it should no longer be linked to employees or departments. To check to which employees a manager is linked, you can see which employees are linked to this manager by clicking on the manager login under the first 'i', When the department is shown in bold print, it means that the manager is linked to that department. When the 'Manager' column is shown in bold print, it means that the manager is linked to the employee.
The manager must be deleted at the employees and/or departments shown. Unlinking of employees can be done in the following 2 manners:
- Go to the relevant (still linked) employee under the 'Employment' tab and select 'History' in the 'Manager' area. By clicking on the cross after the manager, the manager will be unlinked from this employee.
- When a large number of employees is coupled to a manager, a transfer to another manager can be done in bulk via the wizard 'Bulk change manager'. How this wizard works exactly can be seen in the article Bulk change for manager
When both the employees and the department are unlinked, the manager login can be deleted by clicking on the cross after the login.
Managers and Departments
See the article below for creating departments and for linking the newly created Manager login (MSS).
