Scheduling the wage tax declaration in the Workflow

When scheduling the action to create the payroll tax return, you must keep in mind how many days should pass before this action takes place. This is because a payroll tax return must be created before a new period begins.

When the payroll tax return for period 2 must be created according to the schedule, but the payroll tax return for period 1 has not yet been created, the workflow comes to a standstill. This can occur whenever you make one action dependent on a previous action (the run lock, in this case). On this page, there is an example in which this can result in errors, and you can see various settings for the workflow along with their pros and cons.

Example:

The wage tax declaration is created 30 days after the run lock. Because of the circumstances (for example, due to retroactive processing), the payroll run was not performed until the 6th of the month. So, according to the planning, the wage tax declaration would be created 30 days after the 6th. However, the next period has already started, which means the workflow is interrupted.

There are two possible settings to remedy this situation. The settings below are examples. In your workflow, you must always keep in mind the return dates for the wage tax declaration and the number of days in the month. For the month of February, you cannot create the wage tax declaration 30 days after the beginning of the period or else it may result in problems. There is also a difference between an automatic and a manual workflow. Manually, you cannot create a new wage tax declaration when the previous one has not yet been created.
